From May to September the Edge Ensemble tours its latest program THE GAMES WE PLAY in Amsterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht. Ethan Braun, Brendan Faegre, Christopher Fox, Genevieve Murphy, and Harry Stafylakis composed new works for the Edge Ensemble inspired by human play, with each of the five composers exploring the theme in their own deeply personal manner. As part of the 2017 Sounds of Silence festival, on 25 February the Edge Ensemble premieres their new project THE WIND. Joining forces with Catalan soprano Elisenda Pujals, they will create a semi-improvised soundtrack to Victor Sjöström’s 1928 silent film The Wind. Go to the concerts page for performance details.

The Edge Ensemble will play a short set at the new Dutch classical music festival Wonderfeel on 25 July. There are many fantastic artists, so plan ahead and come for the full day, or better yet the full weekend.
EE will play on a double-bill evening with Monica Germino and Frank van der Weij titled American Wizardry at the Korzo Theater on 10 April. The evening focuses on the work of American composers.

The Edge Ensemble will serve as Ensemble-in-Residence for the Gaudeamus new music festival during the 2014-15 season. Activities include three concerts at the Gaudeamus Sessies and one on the Gaudeamus Muziekdag. For more info see concerts.
We've now received the music for six new works written for the Edge Ensemble, to be premiered this season. The compositions are Grace by Krists Auznieks, Ampersand by David Biedenbender, Dreams Overcoming by Brendan Faegre, Between Moderations by Corné Roos, Southern Point by Akiko Ushijima, and Rain Spell by Nick Virzi.
